This is how this Gothenburg-based Swedish act Karnarium advertised themselves 4 years ago upon releasing their self-titled debut album. On the follow-up, Otapamo Pralaja, Karnarium keep on lopping heads from shoulders with their relentless, vicious and deranged sound. Otapamo Pralaja furthers Karnarium’s ultimate goal of making fans suffer, but in a pleasant way. It is their most grind-infested and yet most diverse release by far. Most of the time Karnarium offer fast, all-mangling rides on Otapamo Pralaja but there are also songs like “Per Me Reges Regnant” and “Yoga of Tamas (After the Seduction)” on which this ferocious Swedish mob showcase a more experimental side, proving that they are not only about death, decay and grind. Karnarium are at their best on those “full-speed-ahead” songs, belching fire from all cylinders. They have found their own angry “Terrorizer” sound and spirit and mutated it into something that is strictly theirs.
